Welcome to our practice

Hello there....

Podiatrist is the modern description for a Chiropodist, Podiatrists offer advice and treatment for a huge range of foot and ankle conditions.

Whether this is your first contact with us or you are an existing patient we offer you a very warm welcome to our website....

Here you will find details of our services, opening times, clinic locations, costs of treatment, our staff, our training and a database full of really useful information. To take advantage of our latest special offers please click here.

The practice was formed, in 1998, when Kelsey Short and Julian Head merged their solo Podiatry Practices together and we became accredited by the Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrists in 2012. Practice Accreditation recognises our achievements in being one of a limited number of practices across the UK who excel in all areas of practice.

Specialist Podiatry services we offer include nail surgery, steroid injections, biomechanical assessment (for adult and paediatric foot and ankle problems that can be helped with insoles/orthotics, foot mobilisation, exercise programmes, etc.), verruca needling and laser for fungal nails.

Today we operate from 4 sites and in addition to Podiatry services we also offer complementary therapies such as Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Swedish massage and Reiki, footwear, socks, foot-care treatments and foot-care accessories.

The ethos at Head & Short is to strive to be the best we can be and to provide the best healthcare services and products at affordable prices. We are always looking at how we can improve and we welcome your comments. If there is something we can do better please let us know, if there is something we have done wrong please tell us - we’ll do our best to put it right!

We are also a training practice (rare in private podiatry) and occasionally have visiting undergraduate Podiatry students and former Podiatrists regaining there HCPC registration in our clinics. For more details about what this may entail for you as a patient please click here.

To book an appointment please telephone us, (click here for our numbers), or click here to use our online booking system.

If you are a new patient and need to download our new patient medical history form please click here (and bring it to your assessment appointment).

On behalf of everyone at Head & Short we hope you enjoy our site and find it both informative and useful. Why not follow us on twitter to find out more about us including our latest offers?

Yours sincerely
